How Essential is Water to our Body?

Water regulates all bodily functions, so it is safe to say it is of outmost importance to our organism. It is the main source of energy, it improves skin vitality, it acts as an antioxidant, flushing out oxidants and other toxins. If you do not drink enough water, you can use an antioxidant for detox purposes. It is important to mention that 80% of the brain consists of water, so dehydration can lead to major concentration loss, and in some drastic situations even cause a mental disorder. Several days of complete dehydration leads to certain death.

Most people suffer from chronic dehydration which leads to body being filled with toxins, and that can lead to various diseases such as arthritis, asthma, depression, diabetes, gastritis, heartburn, migraine, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, lower back pains, neck pains, osteoporosis, kidney
disease, etc.

Water

Instead of water, people tend to drink alcohol, coffee and other beverages that worsen the dehydration process. To increase water intake you can choose a healthy, refreshing and tasty
Herbalife drink with aloe vera. However, you shouldn’t drink water excessively or faster than our body can process it, since that can also have an effect on our internal organs. Ideally, you should drink 1l of fluids per every 25kg of body weight, where most of it should be water, and some can be fruit juices, herbal teas and broths. Drink more in the morning, and avoid drinking it during meals, because it can disturb stomach acids and proper digestion. Physical activity requires an increase of water intake, but in a controlled manner. Also, it is recommended to drink bottled water, since tap water often contains microorganisms, heavy metals, chlorine, fluorine and so on.

If you are trying to lose weight, drink a glass of water before your meal, because you will eat less. Besides, water speeds up your metabolism, especially cold water, since your body uses more energy to heat it up – so it burns more calories.

In conclusion, we can safely say that water is, indeed, the source of life!
